However, when these needs are thwarted, internally or externally, our motivation can be damaged. Learn what these three basic psychological needs are so that you can live, love, and lead more effectively.

About Our Speaker

Rachel Llanes is the Founder and CEO of The Gardin Group. The Gardin Group provides a platform for leaders to learn and leverage the science of leadership. Prior to starting The Gardin Group, Rachel was a performance expert for a Fortune 500 company, where she developed and delivered training’s on peak performance, leadership, and resilience. She filmed a video for the US Army, making history for the company. One of her greatest accomplishment was leading an 8-hour training on “The Science of Leadership” to the entire command team of the US Army’s 25th Infantry Division. 

Prior to that, she was a fellow for Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education, responsible for developing stress management and wellness programs for the Army’s 35 Wellness Centers throughout the United States and overseas. Prior to moving to Hawaii, she was a therapist for severely emotionally disturbed teens living in a Level 14 Residential Facility in Chula Vista, California.
